Apprenticeship Duration: 4 years Location: Glasgow Entry Requirements: Five National 5s at grade C or above - including: English, Maths and Physics (or equivalent) + 3 Highers at C or above in Maths, English and a Science Subject. Salary: Starting at £15,205 with yearly increases related to performance. Final salary upon programme completion of circa £29,000 As an Engineering Technician Apprentice with BAE Systems, you will be working with a team of highly skilled, dedicated employees and fellow apprentices from across our Naval Ships Business. You'll be part of a team that designs and manufactures the next generation of complex surface ships and combat systems for customers around the world, including the Royal Navy. Your Day-to-Day Through a combination of classroom based and hands on learning in our engineering office you will be closely mentored to gain the skills required to excel within our technical working environment. Working to both practical and academic targets, you will undertake a series of placements across our training partner colleges to develop a full range of skills in your specific discipline of engineering. Completing your Apprenticeship At the end of the four years, you will have obtained an SVQ Level 3 in Engineering Technical Support and a HND in Engineering Systems, developed a range of practical skills within your engineering disciplines and gained invaluable work experience. All of these achievements will give you a firm footing on your journey to your desired career and would lead particularly well into a role as a Detailed Design Engineer.
