Career Area: Education/Childcare Pay: NMW (MA rate); Hours: Full time; Term: Permanent Reference: MA-027 Location: Paisley Type: Job opportunity Main Duties Adhere to policies and procedures and adhere to SSSC codes of practise Have work up to date and issued in time Plan and practise learning experiences in regards to training requirements Ask for support and assistance from qualified staff when required Follow the role of qualified staff members Support qualified staff in providing learning experiences Support qualified staff in completing safety checks and cleaning schedules Support qualified staff in the daily running of the establishment Collaborate in staff and team meetings Support and support staff in the planning process and observation recording Report any concerns to a supervisor or management Ensure confidentiality Conform to dress code within nursery Qualifications, Certificates or Licences Good Standard of education Skills, Abilities and Personal Qualities Show a willingness to learn and comply with training requirements Registration with PVG (or able to quickly gain) Prepared to undertake professional development as appropriate Good communication skills both written and verbal Affinity with young children Ability to work as a reliable member of the team, developing positive relationships with colleagues, parents, children and outside agencies Ability to follow instructions and use initiative appropriately High standard of personal hygiene and conduct in keeping with working with other staff and children Willing and able to work towards a formal childcare SVQ qualification Food handling qualification and Current First Aid Certificate would be an advantage but not essential How to apply To express an interest please send an email, covering letter & CV, quoting the job reference number at top of this page, to [email protected].
