Driver's licence required Renfrewshire carers Centre Young Carers Project provides information advice and support to young carers up to the age of 18 who are looking after a family member who is affected by disability, mental ill health or HIV/AIDS. A big part of this work is to give them some time out from caring and the chance to be a child again without all the responsibility that caring gives. To do this, they presently offer group sessions for young carers 4 evenings a week. As it is not always easy for them to bring and collect the young people the centre due to either having a disability themselves or having the care of a disabled child, we transport the young people to and from the activity. To do this, this project has acquired the use of a minibus but now we urgently need drivers who would be able to help provide this service. If you could spare 2-3 hours in an evening between 6pm and 9pm then thi may be the ideal role for you. If you wish to volunteer, please contact Karen Miller 0141 887 7707 or [email protected]
